More Mini-Camp Fun!

Here is that update I promised you!

Saturday ended with our dance.  This is always one of our favorite nights of camp.  Everyone suited up in their costumes:

 

And then headed in to the dining hall to dance the night away!

One of our Superheros showed off his sweet dance moves in his wheelchair:

After a good night's sleep, we got up to find that our Kitchen Staff went on STRIKE!

Fortunately, they were willing to prepare breakfast for us, as long as we sang EXTRA loud for them that morning.  After a delicious breakfast, we enjoyed our award ceremony on our beautiful outdoor stage.

Then it was time for checkout and for these crazy ladies to head home:

Mini-Camp was a ton of fun for everyone involved.  Now we are in full gear preparing for Summer!

More Mini-Camp Posts to Come!

To all our friends who are looking for pictures of how our Mini-Camp wrapped up, I promise more are on their way!  I will post more when I am back in the office tomorrow.  This Camp Coordinator took a day off after a busy week of set up and then enjoying a fantastic Mini-Camp!

I can tell you that we did have a great end to Mini-Camp.  We danced the night away at our dance.  We had a lovely Mass in our beautiful camp chapel.  We enjoyed the beautiful spring weather with an award ceremony on our newly sealed outdoor stage.  And then before we knew it, camp was over.

But, before we know it, Summer Sessions will begin!

Spring Mini-Camp Day 2- Morning and Afternoon

We had a relatively quiet night out here at camp as our Superheros (Campers) and Sidekicks (Buddies) settled in for the weekend.  We "Rise and Shine" early in the morning and start off with a sing-a-long!

We also squeezed in some morning playtime in the yard!

Then we all circled up in the dining hall to sing the Blessing Song before a yummy breakfast of bacon, eggs, biscuits, fruit and yogurt!  (Thanks, Kitchen Crew!) You can see us singing the blessing in the video below.

 

 After breakfast and chore time, our Superheros went to Superhero Training to learn valuable Superhero skills.  We had a delicious lunch (thank you volunteers!) and have started our afternoon activities of arts and crafts, PE, music, and movies.

Pretty soon, it's going to be time for dinner and then one of my favorite camp activities--- THE DANCE!

We plan to post again tonight after the dance!  Everyone is having a ton of fun!

Spring Mini-Camp

Mini-Camp is off to a SUPER start.  We started the day off early with set up.

We built a city skyline as a backdrop for some of our pictures.

Our fearless Group Leaders got dressed for the occasion:

Our Guest Directors, Chris and Christie, even got in on the fun!
