Session 5 : Buddy Training and Camper Check-in

It is the beginning of another great week, Session 5. Buddies come a day early to learn what camp is all about. As part of training we have a prayer service where we read something close to all of our hearts. This Credo is something we read and focus on at the beginning of each week and try to pass onto everyone involved with this amazing camp. The "Credo for Support" is our motto at camp and something we all try to base our life off and is the base of this camp's mission. Definitely worth the read!

The buddies also have free time to hang out and get to know each other before the week really begins. They got some time in the pool and get some basic training for the week. As you can tell, we are all excited for the coming week!

Now on Monday afternoon, the moment we have all been waiting for, the campers arrive! It was amazing seeing all of the buddies meet their camper for the first time and the faces of the returning campers as they come to the week that they have been excited about for months. Some even called it their "second home" today. As campers checked in we had arts and crafts set up and plenty of outside activities to pass the time. Then we had the first of many sing-a-longs, then dinner, and finally a movie on the big screen. We watched Madagascar 3 to fit our theme of "Under the Big Top". Another amazing week awaits.
